Seaweed Snacks Recipe
These are the perfect snack!
Making your own Roasted Seaweed Snacks is fun easy and a great way to save on a fair bit of plastic packaging for #plasticfreeJuly too if you usually buy them in individual packets. They are super moreish, healthy and a fun recipe to make with the kids.
We did this as an after school activity the other day and if I hadn't stopped them the kids would have demolished the lot for sure! This is a super easy recipe which your kids (and you) will love to snack on and are great for the lunch box. Nori is naturally rich in iodine, micronutrients, omega 3 and protein. Tamari is a great alternative to salt for flavour and it also contains healthy liquid aminos. I love the flavour of toasted sesame oil but there are virgin sesame oils out there too if you don't like the taste or don't have it in just leave it out.
ROASTED SEAWEED RECIPE

Vegan | Gluten-free
Makes 40 rectangle pieces or 80 square chips
Line a couple of trays with baking paper and preheat the oven to 120°C
Gather your ingredients and mix the following in a bowl:
1/4 cup Tamari
1 Tablespoon water
1/2 tsp toasted sesame oil
Remove the nori from the packet:
10 sheets nori seaweed sheets
Lay on sheet of nori out on the bench and using a pastry brush, brush half of it with the liquid liberally tight to the edges and corners. Fold the other half over and press to stick. Brush the top with the liquid then cut into 4 lengths. You can also cut them again into squares for seaweed chips. Place on the tray with a little room between each and repeat until finished. Bake for 20 minutes until crispy. Store in a sealed jar.
I hope you love these as much as we do and I'd love to hear from you if you make them. Anna x
